A small story to keep

Look again.

He nearly stepped on an entire sky.

Niko had a map for everything. The fastest way to the market. The shortest way home. But every night, he passed the same puddle without looking.

Then a tiny moth landed in his path. He stopped. There, between two broken stones, was an entire sky.

Niko reached for the stars. The water trembled. They disappeared. So he waited. Slowly, the sky returned.

The next morning, he changed his map. He added the bench where his neighbor liked to talk. The tree that smelled sweet after rain. And the puddle that had taught him to look up.

He still found his way home. It just took a little longer. And somehow, he brought more of the world with him.
